Interview preparation on the desktop

HireMate is a desktop application for structured interview practice: capture a prompt, review a suggested response outline, and refine it in your own words—without leaving your machine.

  • Windows & macOS builds
  • Versioned installers
  • Same filenames per release

Deployment

Standard per-user or IT-managed install. No browser extension required; artifacts are listed below with platform requirements and setup steps.

Product scope

What HireMate does

Core functions are limited to interview-style assistance: input handling, response drafting, and desktop ergonomics—documented per release.

01

Structured responses

Technical and behavioral prompts return concise outlines you can adapt—useful for practice and timed exercises.

02

Desktop workflow

Paste text or capture on-screen context without switching between dozens of browser tabs.

03

Controlled output

Answers stay readable and editable so you retain ownership of what you say in a real conversation.

04

Local installation

Runs as a standard desktop program on hardware you control, suitable for locked-down or offline-capable setups.

Apple macOS

HireMate AI.dmg

Specification

Supported OSmacOS 13 Ventura or later
ArchitectureUniversal (Apple Silicon · Intel)
Package typeDisk image (.dmg)
Artifact file nameHireMate AI.dmg

Installation procedure

  1. Open HireMate AI.dmg from Finder after the download completes.
  2. Drag HireMate AI.app into Applications (or another folder you control).
  3. For the first launch, Control‑click (right‑click) the app, choose Open, then click Open once. Double‑click alone may show a blocking alert on stricter macOS versions.
  4. Eject the disk image when finished. Launch HireMate from Applications.

If macOS says the app is “damaged”

That message is often misleading: macOS is blocking the app because it is not signed with a Developer ID certificate and stapled with a notarization ticket—not because the disk image is corrupt.

Try Control‑click HireMate AI.app, choose Open, then click Open first. If an alert still appears, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and look for an option to allow the app, then try again.

If your organization allows it, you can clear quarantine metadata after copying the app to Applications (adjust the path if you installed elsewhere):

xattr -cr "/Applications/HireMate AI.app"

A future release can remove these prompts by shipping a Developer ID signed, notarized build. Until then, the steps above are the supported workaround.

This build is not Apple Developer ID signed or notarized yet, so Gatekeeper and MDM policies may require the steps below. Distribute only installers from this official source.

Integrity. Cryptographic checksums (SHA-256) for each artifact can be published alongside your internal change record or customer release notes on request. Do not rename installers after download if you are tracking hashes.

Support. For volume deployment, document the install path, allowed execution directories, and any proxy or firewall rules required for your AI provider endpoints in your own runbook.
